Pousada do Rio Mutum has been constructed according to international standards taking into account in particular the demands of modern eco-tourism and the interests of sport-fishing.

A Pousada do Rio Mutum is situated between the lakes Sia Mariana and Chacorore within one of the most beautiful regions of the Pantanal of Mato Grosso.

1st Day - Cuiabá/Pantanal - Pousada do Rio Mutum
Reception upon arrival at the Cuiabá airport by a bilingual guide. Transfer to Pousada do Rio Mutum passing through the small village of Mimoso , where Mal. Candido Rondon was born. On the way, observation of many kind of birds, small mammals and tipical landscapes. The transfer takes about 3 hours and a half. After check-in, introduction to the lodge and area around it. In the evening a delicious piranha soup is served just before dinner. After dinner, introduction to the activities of the following days. Overnight.

2nd Day - Pantanal - Pousada do Rio Mutum
After breakfast, horseback trail riding in the jungle, up to the edge of the Siá Mariana bay. During the whole year, a big variety of birds, animals and reptiles can be observed. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, boat trip down the Mutum river banks, Siá Mariana bay and Chacororé bay. Return by boat to the lodge, stopping to see the sunset at the Siá Mariana bay and do piranha fishing. In the evening, cayman feeding with the piranhas fished from Siá Mariana bay and nocturnal animals spotting. Dinner and overnight.

3rd Day - Pousada do Rio Mutum/Cuiabá - Airport
4:30am - Canoeing in the Mutum river to observe the sunrise and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in the Pantanal. Return to the lodge, breakfast and check-out. Transfer to the Cuiabá airport.

1 st. Day
Reception and assistance upon your arrival at Cuiaba Airport.Transfer by van to the Pousada Rio Mutum, passing through the small village Mimoso, where Candido Rondon was born. Arrival at the Pousada at dinner time. After dinner the familiarize with the pousada as well as the program for the next days.

2 nd. Day
The visit will be made by motorboat and will take about 5 hours. This colony is considered an almost sacred place inhabited from April to October by a great number of species of birds, like herons, storks, cormorants. Piranha fishing is also available here. Return and lunch at the Pousada. Late in the afternoon, a boat-tour will take you to the beautiful Sià Mariana lake, where we will watch the sunset and observe herons and other bird species aiming at their sleeping trees. After dark observation of crocodiles and other night-active animals by means of searchlight.

3 rd. Day
After breakfast we will take an ecological hiking tour through the Pantanal wilderness visiting some settlements of the native caboclos with their palm thatched huts. People hospitality will provide you with a lot of impressions of their lives together with a very stimulating drink of genuine guarana. Return to the pousada for lunch. In the afternoon, we will go horseback riding near the pousada. Dinner and overnight

4 th. Day
After breakfast transfer back to Cuiabá Airport. End of services.

Having the largest diversity of bird species in the world, the Pantanal is specially interesting for bird watching. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, boat ride for a photographic safari in Mutum River . In its crystal clear water it is possible to see giant otters, stingrays and huge schools of small fish. At the Mutum river banks, a large variety of birds can be observed. Return to the lodge for dinner, then nocturnal animal spotting by jeep in the lodge surrounding area. Overnight.

3rd Day - Pantanal - Pousada do Rio Mutum
4:30am - Canoeing in the Mutum river to observe the sunrise and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in the Pantanal. Return for breakfast, then boat ride to Cuiabá Mirim, a small village of fishers located at the Cuiabá river banks. Return for lunch. In the afternoon, jeep ride through a road to observe birds and animals, where there is a great chance to observe many macaus. On the way back, spotting of animals. Dinner and overnight. (Between July to October these activities may be changed to a visit at the largest sanctuary of birds of the Pantanal).

4th Day - Pantanal - Pousada do Rio Mutum

6th Day - Pantanal/Cuiabá airport
Walking through the area around the lodge at the sunrise, then breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Cuiabá airport
