Detailed Description:
Located in the middle of the Amazon Forest, in Rio Tarumã, a tributary of Rio Negro,
Amazon Ecopark is a tourist, scientific and educational property, created and directed by the private initiative. It has been established since 1991 and as a lodge since 1995.
The lodge is located in an area of dense primary forest; ideal for eco hikes end explorations.
It includes non-catalogued species in virgin rainforest, natural savannahs and creeks. Several streams of crystal clear warm water run through the area. Over 6 miles of jungle trails enable guests to explore the jungle, orchids and giant trees.
There is also a monkey jungle in the property, unique in the region.
Packages include full board, bilingual jungle guide, alligator spotting tour, visit to local resident's house, piranha fishing and out canoe trips.
What to bring on your trip:
Sports clothes, two pairs of tennis shoes or boots, jeans, light sleeved shirts, swimming suit, inset repellent, binoculars, sunglasses, rain coat and lantern (if wanted), jackets and pullovers between the months of July and September.
